Mirabella was conceived and developed in 2001 by makeup artists for makeup artists from a desire to provide quality cosmetic products, professional artistry tools and accessories for use and retail sale in fine hair salons and spas. Mirabella products are designed with fresh and classic beauty looks in mind and it is the mission of our company and its creators to enhance the natural beauty of women with easy-to-apply timeless colors. PRESIDENT/FOUNDER

Christy Thurston is well known within the beauty industry with twenty years of extensive cosmetic experience. She built a solid foundation with twelve years of service with Estee Lauder, Prescriptives and Chanel. She learned all aspects of inventory, product ordering, personnel management and most importantly, the sell-through of products for Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Dillards. Feeling a need to expand her cosmetic knowledge, Christy turned her focus toward cosmetic artistry. Her career led her to key areas of the country, including Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, New York and Asia. Her skills and expertise within the artistry arena has made her a top artist among her peers.

Hired to fill the position of Regional Beauty Director for Nordstrom in 1996, Christy quickly was exposed to the dynamics behind the largest and most successful cosmetic companies in the world. Her position allowed her unparalleled training alongside some of the best makeup artists in the industry, including Dick Page, Matthew VanLewen, Bobbi Brown, Marvin Westmore and Carol Shaw. As Regional Beauty Director, Christy traveled to New York several times each year to interpret trends and gain new artistry skills to create the fresh looks being shown on the runways. It was her responsibility to pass this information on to the department personnel and customers.

Desiring change and challenge once again, Christy moved into the salon industry focusing her talents and energies on teaching and training salon artists and personnel. Her biggest reward came from passing knowledge to artists and salon owners allowing them to experience cosmetic success. To apply the understanding of salon needs, as well as her acumen in both cosmetics and business, Christy opened a full-service salon, which rapidly grew in size and reputation. She realized the need for a complete line of professional cosmetics to use and sell in her salon. Hence, the inception of Mirabella cosmetics. Soon the demands of the new venture led to the sale of her highly successful and profitable salon. This allowed her to turn her full attention to what has become her greatest professional passion, Mirabella cosmetics.
