Get To Know Our Brand New Multi-Tasking Kabuki Brush

Origin of the Kabuki Brush

The kabuki brush is a popular makeup brush with a short handle and dense bristles. It is named after the Japanese Kabuki dance-drama theatre known for the elaborate makeup worn by the performers. The heavy makeup is an essential part of the characters, and the brush's design allows uniform application of the heavy makeup on the entire face. Most kabuki brushes have a rounded head (but they can also be flat).
A traditional kabuki brush is used to apply any powder makeup on large surfaces of the face (loose powder, foundation, face powder, blush, bronzer). Because of its design, the brush applies makeup evenly on the skin. The large head also makes it suitable for applying makeup over larger areas of the skin, such as the neck and cleavage.

Reimagining the Kabuki Brush

While Mirabella's professional Kabuki brush has long been a best-selling makeup brush for the brand, the new Multi-Tasking Retractable Kabuki Style Professional Makeup Brush truly exceeds #bellababe's expectations. This unique and improved cosmetic brush features a retractable design that makes it the perfect travel tool for on-the-go use and quick touch-ups. In contrast to the brand's original Kabuki brush, the new innovative retractable design allows users to customize the bristle density for targeted application use.
• Liquid/cream foundation: Slide the retractable sleeve up around the bristles for a tighter, more compact bristle formation
• Contouring/sculpting: Slide the retractable sleeve midway to apply blushes and bronzers
• Powder application: Retract the sleeve completely to use with any all-over powder, like Pure Press
The new Multi-Tasking Kabuki Brush is a luxurious all-in-one makeup brush ideal for applying foundation, blush, bronzer, or powder. Like all of Mirabella's professional makeup brushes, this brush features a beautiful aluminum handle and is cruelty free. Pro Tip: Slide the sleeve up completely before capping and storing to prevent any damage to the bristles.
