Awaken primer is perfect for my oily skin. Silicone primers can make me break out but not this one as it is silicone free. In the humid and hot months I apply this after my vitamin C serum and it is hydrating enough and keeps my makeup looking great all day without extra shine. I love it under my pure press powder foundation.

I have always loved mirabella and feel confident in the way it looks and makes me feel. In fact today I received a compliment on how pretty my makeup always looks from a store clerk. Thank you for the Beautiful shades you offer. I use a combination of invincible along with the cc crème and also dabble in the skin tints. It’s easy to promote mirabella when I believe in the results and difference it makes.
I usually use Jane Iredale but i wanted to give this a try and i love it! I feel a lift to my skin in the morning and then I use it again in the afternoon to give me that same feeling. It has a spicy scent

Awaken is by far my favorite primer! True to its name it makes my face look more awake after I apply it and keeps my foundation in place while working 12 hour days in the salon.
I have worn this as my foundation for a more natural look and it helps put some spring back into my skin. It feels good on and lasts all day.

Excellent primer, works all day
Love this primer. The clear, matte finish invisibly covers shine and imperfections, and feels like wearing nothing on the skin. Found all I need for everyday use is moisturizer and this primer, and my skin feels and looks natural, and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

Love Prime; I noticed that my fine lines were the first to disappear under my make up up and then I started using the night cream after almost 2 weeks my skin was smoother and deeper forehead lines were less noticeable . I went to the Post office and the young lady that was helping me and looked up and said, "Sherry, you look so good even younger". Best primer I've used yet and I'm 52 yes old
This comes in a nice outer product box. The ingredients are listed on the packaging. It is made in Italy. It says this is free of silicone, parabens, gluten, and synthetic dyes/fragrances. This does have a smell to it. It smells really strong to me and I'm not sensitive to smells. To me, it smells like rose or baby powder. It said this didn't contain “synthetic dyes/fragrances,†but it does contain fragrances. It has “parfum (fragrance)†listed. Since that is a generic term and is made up of multiple things, there's no way to really know if any of them are “synthetic.†On top of “parfum (fragrance),†this has additional fragrance ingredients - linalool, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, and Citronella. These have a high allergen potential, so it is best to avoid them if your skin is sensitive. This is a WATER-based primer. Most foundations these days are silicone based. For the best results, you're supposed to match your primer with your foundation - silicone-based primer with a silicone-based foundation, a water-based primer with a water-based foundation, and an oil-based primer with an oil-based foundation. I'm not going to go into too much detail about matching primer base with foundation base since it's not really necessary for this review. (Though, it's important to note that just because the first ingredient of your foundation is water/aqua does NOT mean it is water based. Most liquid foundations are going to have water as the first ingredient because they're liquid, they need a large amount of water to be a liquid and spread easily. If it has multiple silicones up high on the ingredient list, it's most likely silicone based). The best way to apply this water based primer (or any water based primer) with a silicone-based foundation - Apply the primer and LET IT DRY DOWN. Once it has absorbed mostly (most of the water content has been absorbed by your skin), go in with your silicone foundation. This will help the silicone based foundation stick better. If you apply the silicone based foundation too early, it could separate. Also, keep in mind that if you want your makeup to last as long as possible, the best way is to match up the primer with the foundation. If you use a water based primer with a silicone based foundation, your makeup probably isn't going to last as long and wear as well throughout the day as it would if you used a water primer with a water foundation or a silicone primer with a silicone foundation. But, it might last just as long as you need it to. So, it might be best to do a wear test on a day it doesn't matter to see how well it wears and how long it lasts. Mirabella's directions for applying this did state to let it dry down before applying makeup. Most of the water based primers I've tried haven't said that, and I think it's an important thing to mention. So, I was happy to see they actually stated that. With water based foundations, this worked beautifully. It hydrated the skin and made it look and feel nice and smooth. I would say it gave my skin a slight glow to it, but it was subtle. It lasted all day and wore great for the entire day (from the time I put it on all the way through my 12 hour shift until I got home and washed it off, so around 14-15 hours!). With silicone based foundations it also worked really well as long as I let it dry completely before going in with foundation. It wore well throughout the day, but definitely started wearing off earlier than I'm used to (about 6 hours). If I went in with the silicone based foundation before I let it absorb completely (my mistake when I was in a rush one day), it didn't turn out too well. It looked okay, but not great. Nowhere near as well as it looked when I let it dry first or when I paired it with a water based foundation. It also didn't last anywhere near as long as it did when I waited for the primer to dry (about 4 hours before it started looking rough). This definitely wears better and longer when paired It with a water based foundation. Overall, this is the perfect primer to pair with a water based foundation. I have a few water based ones and so many primers are silicone based, it's nice having a water based one. It hydrated my skin and gave a smooth base for my foundation, it also helped it last all day! I also like it when with silicone based foundation, but only when I don't need it to last morning to night. If I wait for the primer to absorb fully before going in with the silicone based foundation, I get good wear time out of it, but not great. I'd recommend this if you wear water based foundations and want a great primer to go with it. I'd also recommend it even if you wear silicone based foundations but want something hydrating and don't mind if your makeup only wears great for around 6 hours. Somewhere between my teen years and my mid-life, someone thought to add primer to the makeup routine. Silly me, I thought that was just for cars! But wow! Now that I have a few laugh-lines (to put it delicately) I have discovered primer. This primer has a bit of tint to it. I have found that I can apply a very thin layer of this primer and no longer need foundation (the bane of wrinkles). I just apply a thin layer of this primer, and finish my makeup routine. Due to the thinness, there is no obvious foundation, yet it smooths and evens-out the skin and coloration, leaving a (fairly) flawless canvas for your makeup. As such, powder is optional…I usually only use powder now if I'll be outside and need a bit more “holdâ€. The tube is what I'd consider a medium size. However, you need so little each day that it should last a long while. Seriously, I laughed at the idea of face primer, but I'm a believer now! Recommended!
This face primer does a great job to make your skin smooth and even to have a nice foundation and makeup. The texture is soft and very light weighted on skin. You can apply it alone as it works great as a moisturizer as well but you can apply it on top of your face cream/moisturizer and before applying the foundation. It covers the pores and leaves the skin smooth and soft before applying the foundation.
I have only just recently been told of the benefits of using a primer under my makeup foundation. Being a woman of a certain age, I really like the look and feel that Mirabella's Awaken Lightweight Lifting Face Primer gives to my skin. It lasts all day and I have to say, this one is definitely a keeper!
This looks slightly tinted but once applied it's invisible. It's lightweight, easy to apply, and absorbed well. It made my makeup look nice and blended all night!
